Should Snow Stop You From Doing Kids Exercise?

Let me skip the part where I talk about all the bad, scary drivers on my way to the gym this morning and get right to the heart of the matter.  Snow and ice is on the ground in many areas.  Kids are home on a school day.

Should you guys sit on the couch and watch movies all day while snacking on chips and sugary chocolates?  No way!  What a perfect opportunity for kids exercise activities.  Before you groan and head back for the couch with your kids, let me explain.

I’m talking about FUN kids exercise.  The kind that’s creative, fun and tailored to your child’s specific age.  It is craft time creating your kids exercise activity and then it’s healthy exercise time.

On this snow day, take the time and effort to instill healthy habits in your kids.  It may take 30 minutes to craft the fun exercise and another 20-30 minutes to exercise.  If your child gets bored with the first one, try another one and next week try them all over again.
