Show Your Kids That Exercise Is Fun!

To get your children physically active on a regular basis you need to try the following:

Show them that kids exercise is fun!  There are so many things you can do together as a family.  Biking, rock climbing, in-line skating, jump-roping, basketball, baseball and swimming.

Don’t forget the numerous kids indoor exercises you can do to such as indoor bowling, pretend fishing, long jump, bean bag racing and dancing.

Invite your kids to help you in household tasks such as working in the garden, washing the car , raking leaves and vacuuming. Demonstrate the value of these chores as quality physical activities.

Plan outings and activities that involve some walking, like a trip to the zoo or a nature trail hike.

Whatever you do, set an example for your kids and treat exercise as something that should be done on a regular basis – like brushing your teeth or cleaning your room.
